The same as Las Vegas, you can find a boutique and plush Motel in Reno for a comfortable stay. The city is also renowned for its flashy casinos, but as a result of its close propinquity to Lake Tahoe and quite a few other ski resorts, Reno comes out to be a wonderful destination for a variety of outdoor recreation activities.

The following are some of the places (touristic spots) in Reno that makes the city the best and exciting place to visit in addition to Las Vegas.

National Automobile Museum

The National Automobile Museum is located in the heart of the city and is a must-visit place for auto enthusiasts of every age group. The museum is known to be home to more than two hundred cars, the oldest dating back to the nineteenth century, the whole history of the automobile is on display here. The collection consists of a large number of machines, including race cars, sports cars, and classic cars.

Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is situated on the outer reaches of the city. This place is known to have cliffs that drop off into crystalline waters. It is one of the deepest and largest lakes in the nation. While a well-liked skiing destination during the winter months at nearby Heavenly Ski Resort and Squaw Valley, Lake Tahoe is a popular spot for house boating and water sports in the summer.

Truckee River Walk

Located along the Truckee River, the modernized River Walk area of the city is an ideal means to spend a warm afternoon. A large number galleries and restaurants line the southern end of the walk, which locals of the city refer to as CalAve, and will delight art enthusiasts and food lovers alike.
